Sukabumihitz – Lady Gaga baru saja merilis video musik untuk lagu terbarunya, The Dead Dance, yang juga menjadi original soundtrack Wednesday Season 2. Video musik ini disutradarai langsung oleh maestro gothic, Tim Burton, dan menampilkan sinematografi khas yang membuat merinding.
Video musiknya dibuka dengan Gaga yang seolah “terjebak” di dinding, dikelilingi boneka-boneka bayi. Setelah itu, dengan sebuah “tarian maut”, ia membangkitkan boneka-boneka itu. Kemudian, di bagian chorus, ia bergabung dengan penari bertopeng saat suasana berubah dari siang menjadi malam. Lagu ini, yang diproduseri bersama Andrew Watt dan Cirkut, rilis bersamaan dengan penampilan Gaga di episode enam Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 sebagai Rosaline Rotwood, guru Nevermore dari tahun 1960-an.
Lagu ini semakin booming karena dijadikan soundtrack gala di serial Wednesday season 2. Pesta gala di episode ini menampilkan Enid (Emma Myers) yang menari “Dead Dance” bersama Agnes (Evie Templeton). Tarian ini kemudian menjadi tren di kalangan pecinta serial Wednesday dengan banyak penggemar yang ikut meramaikan Dead Dance di berbagai media sosial.
